La Jolla’s Ecological Reserve is so special to divers and snorkelers because of its sea life, which has safely socialized with humans for over a hundred years. There are very few places in the world that can say the same. Sea Lions will literally come right up and mimic you!

Hundreds of HARMLESS Leopard Sharks live year round in La Jolla Shores, but during the summer thousands of Leopard Sharks migrate to the area. Snorkeling with Leopard Sharks is something you will never forget. These HARMLESS sharks are very comfortable with humans, so they will allow you to get closer than anyone expects.

Since the early 1900s people have enjoyed snorkeling La Jolla Cove. While snorkeling La Jolla Cove you should expect to see Sea Lions swimming around you, underwater rock formations, plant life and amazing marine creatures including brightly colored Garibaldi, Sea Cucumbers, Anemones and Sea Stars.
