A kayak and snorkel tour is the only way to Fully Interact with all the amazing sea life in La Jolla's underwater park. La Jolla's sea life is very special in the sense that the animals will actively socialize with humans, which is very different than almost everywhere else on the planet. Like our customers our sea life is just cooler. This is a tour guide favorite, so expect a stoked guide with high seniority on this tour!

Leopard Shark City Snorkel Tour
La Jolla is home to the best Leopard Shark migration in the world! These HARMLESS animals are bottom dwellers and only have a mouth the size of a quarter. However, this will not take away from how cool it is to swim inches away from Sharks in the Wild! People come from all over the world to join guided tours of Leopard Shark City.
These sharks can be seen just a few yards from shore nearly year-round and they are HARMLESS to humans. From June to September thousands of Leopard Sharks migrate to La Jolla Shores for their mating season and during the rest of the year about 100-200 of the local leopard sharks can still be found.
Included in your tour is an OEX Dive Master, Mask & Snorkel, Fins, and Wetsuit. The tour will last one hour with your guide and you can keep the equipment for 2 more hours afterwards to explore on your own. The tour is appropriate for all swimmers over the age of six.

La Jolla Cove Snorkel Tour
La Jolla Cove has been the favorite snorkel site, in all of Southern California, since the first mask/snorkel was invented. This area is perfect for all ages and experience levels. Especially considering OEX La Jolla is the only Dive Shop in La Jolla, est. in 1995, and one of our experienced Dive Master's will safely lead you through the Cove.
La Jolla Cove is a rocky bottom snorkel site that supports Sea Lions, Seals, Garibaldi, Dolphin and Cormorant. You will also see Sea Cucumbers, Anemones and Sea Stars. You will literally need an underwater note pad to keep track of everything you saw!
OEX will provide you with a mask, snorkel and fins, which you can keep for the remainder of the day. After Snorkeling La Jolla Cove you should jump on a Kayak and Snorkel Tour.
